To make sure you are ready for this transformative experience, here is some information on exactly what to expect and how to prepare.
What to Expect
Your Denver boudoir session will be two hours and is paced to accommodate three outfit changes. I will guide you through posing every step of the way to make the shoot feel natural and authentic. I’m passionate about creating a comfortable and supportive environment that will bring out your best self, allowing you to relax, have fun, and create stunning images. I understand that boudoir photography is a personal and intimate experience, and I will respect your privacy and your boundaries at all times.
Please arrive with hair and make-up ready; there will be a space to change and apply touch-ups, so you don’t need to arrive wearing your lingerie. It’s recommended you arrive in loose-fitting clothing to avoid unintentional skin indentations and marks.
Wear something comfortable
The most important thing to keep in mind when choosing an outfit for a boudoir photoshoot is comfort. You'll be posing in various positions, so it's important to choose an outfit that you feel comfortable and confident in. Avoid outfits that are too tight, too loose, or too constricting.
Bring a variety of outfits
It's a good idea to bring several outfits to your boudoir photoshoot so that you can change up your look throughout the shoot. Consider bringing outfits with different textures, colors, and styles to add variety to your photos.
Add a Personal Touch
Celebrate who you are! Bring along your favorite pair of cowboy boots, your favorite hat, or your favorite book. If you plan to share your photos with your partner, then perhaps slip away with one of their belongings- like clothing, jewelry, sport’s gear, musical instrument etc. This is a cute way to make your photos extra special!
Accessorize It Up
Accessories can add a lot of visual interest to your boudoir photos, so don't forget to bring some along. Consider bringing jewelry, heels, stockings, or other accessories that will complement your outfits and help to create a cohesive look.
What To Wear
Photoshoots are structured with time for three outfit changes. Curate your outfits as an expression of your personality! It’s encouraged to evoke a different mood with each look- like your sexiest lingerie to show off your sensual side, your coziest t-shirt & socks for a look that’s sweet and playful, then perhaps wear nothing else but your favorite earrings! There is no proper way to look, there isn’t just one way to be sexy, so come as you are.
The studio is a safe space to express yourself at your comfort level. You can be nude, you can be fully clothed, or any shade in between. All genders, sexual orientations, and identities are welcome here.
If you’re doing a couple’s shoot then get creative and choose your looks as a way to represent the unique qualities of your relationship. Bring a blanket to share or matching outfits like blue jeans or sports jerseys. Show off gifts or jewelry you’ve given one another. You could bring along a favorite treat or special souvenir from one of your favorite memories together.
Boudoir Shouldn't Break the bank
Investment
Boudoir should be accessible and affordable. Denver photoshoots can be booked at $300 for individuals and $400 for couples. This investment covers a 2-hour photoshoot in a private studio, with a delivery of 10 retouched digital images.
Sessions are photographed embracing natural daylight before 4 pm, appointments are available every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to book your appointment. The deposit will be included towards your overall session investment, and the remaining balance will be due on the day of your shoot.
Development
After your shoot is complete, the editing process takes about two weeks. I will privately review the session and select the 10 photos that best represent the radiance of the experience. Your photos will be retouched for fine art quality, and you’ll receive hi-res digital copies of your images with copyright permission for personal printing. Rush delivery is available for an additional fee.
